Baby Doll

She has taken a feverish interest in baby doll for the past week.

She has three babies, but only the one with the pretty pink dress dress, pacifier, and diaper is her baby.

She asks for her at random points throughout the day, then scurries around looking for her.

At times, her pleas for "baby" sound desperate, as if the doll was a real baby, crying, but lost somewhere in the house.

We nurse baby, burp her, put in her paci, then change her diaper. We are sure to use plenty of wipes and cream.

She likes to put baby in her high chair, go to her drawer in the kitchen, and take out one of her plates and put it on the table in front of baby. Then the lucky baby gets to eat!

Sometimes, I am too slow cleaning the table, and she actually 'feeds' baby real food. Afterwards, we are sure to have baby walk over to the sink to wash her hands and mouth!

She tries unsuccessfully to take a bath with baby.

She goes to sleep hugging baby.

She starts her morning off, in the crib, playing with baby. Oftentimes these mornings, I hear calls for mama, not because she wants out, but because she needs help with the baby's paci.
